Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will celebrate a special Chrism/Priest Jubilarian Mass Monday, Aug. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Christ the King Church in Little Rock. It will be closed to the public to safeguard against COVID-19. Arkansas Catholic will livestream the Mass on its Facebook page for all to watch online. All are invited to watch "Taste of Faith: Virtual Edition" live from the House of Formation on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. on our homepage (dolr.org), Facebook page or YouTube channel. Normally Taste of Faith is an in-person dinner held four to five times a year across Arkansas to raise money for seminarian education. These ordinations are invitation only to safeguard against COVID-19. The Respect Life Office, through Project Rachel, is offering a special healing retreat for anyone suffering from a past abortion. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor issued the following statement to the people of the Diocese of Little Rock, July 2, 2020, about Black Lives Matter. "When I came to Sacred Heart Parish in Oklahoma City as pastor in 2003 the parish was 95 percent Hispanic and I inherited a weekend schedule with six Masses — three in English and three in Spanish. The Spanish Masses were packed, with people standing in the back, in the side aisles and at times even outside the front door of the church. The English Masses were less than half full even though they had the more desirable Sunday morning time slots. ... More
