The Office of Stewardship and Development works in partnership with the faithful to support parishes, schools and ministries of the diocese. Together, giving generously of our time, talent and treasure allows us to secure resources to fund the spiritual, educational and social ministries and programs of the Diocese of Little Rock. Working as one body in Christ, we fulfill our mission to build the Kingdom of God and share his love with others.

In "Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response," the U.S. bishops tell us that we should "we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord." Acknowledging the practical side of life, while emphasizing simplicity and compassion, we also must recognize that money plays a role in achieving good. Catholic Arkansas Sharing Appeal

The Catholic Arkansas Sharing Appeal (CASA) is the Diocese of Little Rock’s annual appeal, beginning each year on the first weekend of February. Through CASA, Catholics throughout Arkansas come together to support ministries and needs that extend beyond the capacity of any individual parish. These include seminarian and diaconate formation, Catholic Charities, faith formation, Catholic schools, Hispanic ministry and the diocesan offices that serve our parishes and programs. Taste of Faith

Taste of Faith is an annual fundraiser held throughout Arkansas in support of the education of the Diocese of Little Rock’s seminarians. These joyful gatherings bring the faithful together with our seminarians to learn more about their formation and the importance of fostering vocations. Catholic Estate Planning

Catholic estate planning is an act of faithful stewardship that provides for loved ones, communicates important wishes and prepares for the end of life with clarity and hope. To help Catholics plan, the Diocese of Little Rock provides resources to create a will, document funeral wishes, prepare a Catholic-aligned Advance Healthcare Directive and establish General and Healthcare Powers of Attorney. Through the Diocese of Little Rock’s partnership with FreeWill, Catholics can create or revise a simple will or trust online at no out-of-pocket cost; a simple will can be completed in about 20 minutes. Those who wish may also use their estate plans to leave a lasting gift to a parish, Catholic school or diocesan ministry.

Stock and IRA Giving

Gifts of stock or funds from an IRA offer meaningful ways to support a parish, Catholic school or diocesan ministry. Depending on the donor’s circumstances, transferring appreciated securities or making a qualified charitable distribution directly from an IRA may also provide tax advantages. These collections support the work of the Church locally, nationally and throughout the world. They provide vital assistance to ministries that serve those in need, strengthen the Church and advance her mission. Parish Support Services

The Stewardship and Development Office helps parishes and schools strengthen their financial stewardship efforts and develop systems that support their ministries. We work with pastors and parish staff to develop increased offertory programs and implement online giving. We also offer practical solutions for managing events and volunteers, as well as planning and carrying out capital campaigns. Because every situation is different, our support is shaped to each community's particular needs and goals.
