Religious jubilarians to be honored Sept. 9

All are invited to celebrate this year's religious jubilarians during the annual Religious Jubilarian Day Sept. 9 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church in Little Rock. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will celebrate Mass at noon to honor the following men and women religious marking special anniversaries in religious life:

Sister Angeline Massery, OSB, Sister Barbara Schroeder, OSB, and Sister Catherine Markey, OSB, 70 years; Sister Lenore Dust, OSB, and Sister Elaine Willett, OSB, 60 years; Father William Wewers, OSB, and Father Richard Walz, OSB, and Sister Cheryl Marie Quave, RSM, 50 years; and Sister Laura Cathcart, OSB, Father Francis Damoah, SVD, and Brother Joseph Heath, OSB, 25 years.

This daylong event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and also include a presentation, prayer, workshop and lunch. Sister Marcia Allen, CSJ, of Concordia, Kansas, will give the presentation titled: “Contemplative Engagement for the Transformation of Religious Life."

The Religious Jubilarian Day is open to the public. Religious attend for free. The cost for all others is $10 a person, which includes the workshop and lunch. Register by Aug. 28 by downloading and mailing the registration form to the address provided.
