Papal Audience Tickets

The Holy Father holds a general audience, most Wednesday mornings, in Vatican City at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are required for audiences held in St. Peter’s Square or the Paul VI audience hall. The audience is a chance to pray with the Holy Father and receive his blessing, which is imparted to all present and to their families and friends. For more information, or to request tickets, contact María Velázquez in the Office of the Bishop at (501) 664-0340, ext. 340. If you would like to receive a ticket to attend a general audience, please mail a request with the following information:

  • Your name or the names of those attending
  • The date of the audience you would like to attend
  • Your address
  • The number of people in the party (for groups larger than 10, see below)
  • Additional information about your parish involvement or reasons for making a pilgrimage to Rome (optional)

Newlyweds

To qualify as a newlywed couple (sposi novelli), couples must be married within two months of the audience they wish to attend. They must also carry with them a copy of their sacramental marriage certificate signed by their priest and wear their wedding attire. The Holy Father will bless them for a happy wedded life when he gives his general blessing at the conclusion of the papal audience.

Groups and Group Choirs

Groups larger than 10 people are encouraged to provide the following information, so we may request that their group be publicly announced at the audience:

  • Parish, school, or organization name
  • Name of the group leader/priest leader
  • Number of persons in the group
  • City and state where they are located
  • Choirs who wish to sing for the Holy Father for 45 seconds are kindly requested to give advance notice of their request

Pilgrims are also welcome to attend Mass in English at the Church of Santo Spirito in Sassia at 10 a.m. The Church of Santo Spirito in Sassia is only three blocks from St. Peter’s Square on Borgo Santo Spirito, 3. Mass is held every Sunday.
