Married couples are invited to attend the next Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend Sept. 22-24 at Coury House Retreat Center on the grounds of Subiaco Abbey. Encuentro Matrimonial, the Spanish-language version of this program, will be held Oct. 27-29 at Mount Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville.
Marriage Encounter allows married couples to spend time together, away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life, where they can focus on each other and their relationship. Couples learn a technique of loving communication that they can use for the rest of their lives. It's not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity or a substitute for counseling. It's a unique approach aimed at revitalizing marriage.
For more information or to apply, contact Stephen and Elaine Lienhart at (501) 312-1119 or e-mail register@arkansaswwme.org. To apply for Encuentro Matrimonial, couples should download and return the registration form to the diocesan Family Life Office.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekends are offered in February and September each year. See complete calendar to find a weekend that works for you. Marriage Encounter is just one of the many programs sponsored by the Family Life Office to honor and strengthen marriage in the Diocese of Little Rock.
