Mass for Life

Dioceses of the United States observe Jan. 22 as a particular day of prayer for the legal protection of unborn children and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion. In the Diocese of Little Rock, a Mass for Life is celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock on a Sunday in January close to Jan. 22. This Mass, hosted by the Respect Life Office, is an opportunity for all Catholics in Arkansas to come together and pray for an end to abortion and for all life, from conception to natural death, to be protected and respected. Respect Life Sunday Mass

Each October, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, which is a time to inspire and encourage individuals and parish communities to engage in a program of pro-life activity that protects, accompanies and supports the life and dignity of every person, especially the most vulnerable among us. It kicks off on Respect Life Sunday, which is the observed first Sunday of October each year.
