Responsible for maintaining expertise in subject area, organizing courses according to professional standards, providing materials, offering specialized instruction for students with learning needs, collaborating with learning services coordinator and teachers, maintaining detailed records, supporting student spiritual development, effectively managing classrooms, communicating with parents and participating in professional development; must have bachelor’s degree, experience providing dyslexia intervention and working with English Language Learners, training completion in an Orton Gilligham-based intervention program, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships, ability to pass required background checks and high professional and ethical standards to manage confidential information; Arkansas teaching license endorsement in special education or dyslexia and 3-4 years experience working with students with learning disabilities preferred
