A Short Guide to Praying as a Family Retreat

This event will be held at St. John Church in Russellville in Spanish on Sept. 10 and in English on Sept. 11. It is hosted by St. John, St. Augustine Church in Dardanelle and St. Andrew Church in Danville, but it is open to all parishes. The retreat is based on the book: “A Short Guide to Praying as a Family," which was compiled by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia of Nashville, Tennessee. Sisters Johanna, OP, and Jane Dominic Laurel, OP, assistant professor of theology at Aquinas College, who served as editor of the book, will present the retreat. Topics of discussion will include: how to have a conversation with God; sacred times and sacred spaces; followed by activities and ending with eucharistic benediction.
