The Hispanic Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Arkansas will host its ninth annual Arkansas Catholic Charismatic Youth Conference July 26 at the Dardanelle Community Center. All Spanish-speaking youth ages 13 to 17 are invited to attend. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is $25 per person in advance, and $30 at the door.
Featured speaker Kevin Morales of Missouri will lead presentations on the theme "Elegidos," ("Chosen") which is based on 1 Peter 2:9: "But you are 'a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises' of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." The day will also offer praise and worship, eucharistic adoration and more. For more information, contact Tania Herrera, coordinator, at (479) 225-8710.
The Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement is an ecclesial movement recognized by the Vatican. It arises from the action of the Holy Spirit; an experience of Pentecost. It invigorates the awareness of everything that Jesus revealed to us and evokes an enthusiastic response to live the faith of the Church.
