Dear Father, please pray for the safety and mental stamina of all the single people of our diocese. Please do not let them get negatively influenced into thinking that being single for too long is a mortal sin, because it truly is not. Please do not let them be forced into an unwanted relationship for fear that God will love them less if they don’t — or worse that fellow parisioners will love them less if they don’t. Please give a listening ear and open mind to priests, nuns and other religious when hearing concerns from single people who just want to continue doing what they feel God is calling them to do. In Jesus’ name with praise and thanksgiving, Amen.
