Indian Missionary Society (IMS)

Updated Aug. 20, 2024

The Indian Missionary Society (IMS) was founded in 1941 with the mission of integrating the spiritual and cultural heritage of India and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These Indian priests and brothers work to proclaim the Word of God, provide pastoral care, education and ministry to the poor, to children and orphans, to prisoners and all those marginalized by society. They serve in 27 dioceses in India and three in the U.S. To learn more, visit the Varanasi Province or Ranchi Province of the Indian Missionary Society.
