Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of kindergarten students. The aide will assist the teacher in classroom behavior management, monitor the students at lunch time, attend all staff meetings, conferences and recommended training programs also work with small groups in the science of reading and other areas that may require more intensive small group reincoforcement; must have a high school diploma and be willing to attend training in various areas. Someone in this position must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children and to other employees, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school's educational philosophy.
