Responsible for teaching junior English at standard and advanced placement levels, working within school education program in manner consistent and supportive of school mission, promoting appreciation of American literature and nonfiction prose, developing student language skills and ability to express personal and independent responses to literature, leading study of nonfiction prose and American literature from variety of periods, disciplines and contexts and teaching writing for different audiences and vocabulary, grammar use, and mechanics in context of composition; must have bachelor’s degree in English, Arkansas teaching license, advanced placement teaching experience, strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships, ability to pass background checks and high professional and ethical standards needed to manage confidential information
