Helps Catholic parishes prepare for emergencies and victims of natural disasters in Arkansas through long-term recovery

The Disaster Preparedness and Response Program is a ministry of Catholic Charities of Arkansas. It helps people prepare for emergencies and natural disasters and helps victims and communities devastated by natural disasters in Arkansas through the long process of recovery. Specifically it offers training to prepare for emergencies and long-term recovery services.
Disaster preparation classes are presented upon request to parishes and schools. Topics covered include: types of likely disasters, contingency planning for response, contents of a family disaster response kit and insurance. Provides relief and recovery services as well as training for parish teams, including volunteer case managers, to help victims and communities devastated by natural disasters in Arkansas on a long-term basis.
