Religious celebrate consecration, jubilees

Published: February 7, 2024

Women and men religious from across the Diocese of Little Rock gathered for the 2024 Consecration Day and Religious Jubilarian Mass Feb. 3 at the Carmel of St. Teresa of Jesus Monastery in Little Rock. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor celebrated the Mass, during which five sisters were honored for observing anniversaries this year.

This event was held a day after the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, which falls on the feast of the Presentation of the Lord.

Those celebrating anniversaries are shown from left to right in the photo: Sister Maria Hoa Nguyen, OP, 25 years; Sister Mary Ann Harrison, OCD, 50 years; Sister Madeline Bariola, OSB, 70 years; Sister Mary Petra Masek, OCD, 60 years; and Sister Deborah Troillett, RSM, 50 years.

This event was sponsored by Sister Cecilia Nguyen, OSB, diocesan minister to religious. The minister to religious is a liaison between the religious women and men in Arkansas and our bishop.
