7 seminarians further their discernment

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor is installing seven Diocese of Little Rock seminarians as candidates, lectors and acolytes as part of their journey toward priesthood during special Masses in May at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. All are invited to attend.

The bishop celebrated the Admission to Candidacy Mass Saturday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. Phillip Necessary, of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers, and Samuel Stengel, of St. Joseph Church in Paris,  demonstrated the necessary qualifications for ordination and were installed as candidates during the Mass.

He will celebrate the Installation of Lector Mass Saturday, May 11 at 4:30 p.m. During the Mass, Joshua Osborne, of St. Joseph Church in Conway, will be installed, allowing him to proclaim the Word of God during liturgies and catechize the faithful.

Bishop Taylor will celebrate the Installation to Acolyte Mass Saturday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m. During the Mass, Tuan Do and Joseph Minh Phong Nguyen, both of St. Patrick Church in North Little Rock, Christopher Elser, of Christ the King Church in Little Rock and Quinton Thomas, of Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro will be commissioned as acolytes to serve at the altar during Mass, assist in the purification of Communion vessels and take holy Communion to the sick.
