A Life Chain will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Hwy 62 / 412 at Tekakwitha Drive in Cherokee Village/Highland. For more information, call St. Michael Church at (870) 257-2850. This event will be held on the 30th annual Life Chain Sunday, which is always on the first day of Respect Life Month, Oct. 1. During a Life Chain, people gather together in a "peaceful and prayerful public witness" to form a line on sidewalks in cities across the United States and Canada. Participants hold signs such as, "Pray to End Abortion" or "Adoption: The Loving Option" and pray for an end to abortion.
