Bells of Peace: World War I Remembrance Day

The Arkansas World War I Centennial Commemoration Committee is asking all churches and organizations to ring bells 11 times at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 11 to celebrate the end of World War I and to remember the millions who fought, suffered and died in “the war to end all wars.” Churches participating can notify the Department of Arkansas Heritage at info@arkansaspreservation.org if they are participating and the church name will be added to a list online. Gov. Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed Nov. 11 as Bells of Peace: World War I Remembrance Day.
