After all their care and hard work, it’s painful to see a loving mother suffering — especially from disease, disability or condition. May this healing prayer for mothers help us ask the Lord for his healing hand. That they may be supported and encouraged in their special vocation of love for all mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers and mother-like figures in our lives. May God bless them abundantly, we pray to the Lord the intercession of our Blessed Mother for all the intentions of our hearts related to the observance of Mother’s Day, as well as to thank her for her motherly love for us. (Wisdom 16:12) Merciful God, heal all mothers from all illnesses and clothe her with strength and faith. I put my trust in you, for you are our merciful Father, I know that with you, nothing is impossible. Heal her just as Jesus once healed the sick and dying. I ask this in your holy name. Amen.
