Easter Vigil Mass 2024
Easter is a day of baptisms and professions of faith. Often, we miss the point that we are baptized into Jesus’ redemptive death, which is why we sing the Exultet. It is to the degree that we share in his death, that we will also share in his victory. In baptism we die with Jesus sacramentally, and once dead, sin no longer has power over us. |
Good Friday of the Lord's Passion 2024
By embracing the cross with sacrificial love, Jesus models for us today what it really means to hallow God’s name. |
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper 2024
Recent surveys have suggested that a significant number of Catholics have lost sight of the reality of this greatest treasure that the Lord has left us. |

Catholic parishes across the Diocese of Little Rock welcomed 685 new Catholics into the Church during Easter Vigil Masses on Holy Saturday, March 30. This is a significant increase after the decline during the COVID-19 pandemic. These neophytes (new Catholics) participated in their parish's Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process and fell into two groups: elect and candidates. The elect had not been baptized or formed in the Christian faith and life. During their initiation they were baptized, confirmed and receive their first Communion. More
